Founded in 1804 and then moved to a different section of the street to its present position in 1846. The building is classified as an historical monument.
Honoré de Balzac and Stendhal were a regular here.
On the firsr floor there are original frescoes by Paul Gavarni (1804-1866). a French painter and illustrator.

Our table was in the upstairs dining room alongside
a frescoe by Paul Gavarni.
The frescoes on the walls are protected under plexiglass. |
